Welcome reception
The opening reception will take place on the evening of 14 April 2020, in the Flagey building at Place Flagey in Elsene/Ixelles, from 18:30 to 21:00.
The historical Flagey building, designed in 1933, was home to the national broadcasting institute (and later institutes) of Belgium until 1974. After renovating the neglected building – welcome to Brussels and Belgium – it is now a cultural center, hosting concerts, film screening, … and conference receptions!
Getting there
Place Flagey is about a 25 to 30 minute walk from the conference venue. By public transport, either take bus 95 from stop Etterbeek station to stop Germoir / Mouterij, bus 71 from stop Fraiteur to Flagey, or tram 81 from stop La Chasse / De Jacht to Flagey.
Conference dinner
The venue for the conference dinner on 15 April 2020 is La Manufacture, located in the center of Brussels, starting at 19:30 at Rue Notre Dame du Sommeil 12 / Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Vaakstraat 12.
If you wish to attend the dinner, please make sure you purchase a separate ticket when registering!
Getting there
To get to the conference dinner restaurant from the VUB campus, take either metro 5 from Pétillion to Saint-Catherine / Sint-Katelijne, tram 7 or 25 from stop VUB and metro 1 to Saint-Catherine / Sint-Katelijne (changing at Montgomery), or bus 95 from Etterbeek station to stop Bourse / Beurs.
